This oil painting, a class project, is a study in creating a foundation
to build foliage and scenic layers on.
"Sunshine in the Forests"
This is another class project, an oil painting on canvas. The
objective was to create depth...the feeling of looking deep
into the forest. The fun part of the lesson was learning how
to create the shafts of sunlight peeking through the canopy of
branches and foliage.
This small oil painting of a snow covered tree is 5 x 7. It is painted
on a board covered with a coat of gesso. This was painted using
only a palette knife, no brushes! A whole new experience for me!
"Early Robin gets the Worm"
They say 'the early bird gets the worm'...surely the case with
this very attentive robin. See how alert her stance...she is
ready to pounce! This is my first bird attempt ever, and I must
say it was oh so very fun!
